Okay I posted about this a while ago and I’ll post about it again. So I’m a photographer based in New York / Northern Virginia. Recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about gender and about presentation and I want to do a series where I photograph young adults all throughout the gender spectrum and incorporate something that they put into it any sort of piece of art/writing/honestly what ever they have to say. Basically, this is hella in the early processes but if you are interested please please tell me!!! I want it to be a portrait in a place where they feel most comfortable/in what they feel comfortable in and have it be a collaboration project. ! so, if you’re interested, please let me know! If you’re anywhere in the east coast, we’ll figure something out!
For the past few months I’ve been trying to work on a project that deals with my uncomfortableness with my cultural identity and disconnection from my family. It’s been hard for me and a thing I’ve been trying to work through and so this is a piece of what will be hopefully a project I will continue and figure out.
For the past year I’ve been dealing with a lot of family issues that, for personal reasons, I wont discuss. Theres been a lot of disconnect and I’ve been trying to make work about it which has been incredibly emotionally difficult. This is part of an unfinished project about that and my cultural identity, which to be honest, is still a project I’m trying to figure out.
after i burned my board we still wanted to talk to ryan so we made a board out of photo paper. diy.
